Simon Gardam: Seventeen Drawings
‘Seventeen Drawings’ is the first publication to come out of the Stray Pages Riso press. The book features a small selection of “warm up” pencil and ink drawings translated into print using a three-color process with bright red, yellow, and blue inks.
The motivation behind Seventeen Drawings was not only to create an archive of drawings but to embrace the experimental nature of the Risograph Printer. Throughout the printing process, decisions and adjustments were made regarding colour and formatting. This method bridges a gap between the digital working environment and physical printmaking, giving each edition unique characteristics.
